The Provincial House of North Brabant is located on the edge of 's-Hertogenbosch, near the A2. If you're in the area, you can't miss it; at 103.5 metres, this is the tallest building for miles around.
The Provincial House consists of a large low-rise building with two floors, in which the public spaces are located. Next to it is the high-rise building, consisting of no less than 18 floors spread over 6 domains. The interior was given a new and contemporary look at the beginning of 2015. Flexible workplaces, consultation rooms, landing areas and comfortable seats provide a working environment that facilitates a different way of working.
Because employees no longer have their own workplace, the Provincial House was looking for a total solution for storing personal belongings of the staff. An important requirement was that the appearance of the solution would fit seamlessly into the interior of the Provincial House. In addition, the solution had to be sustainable, in other words future-proof with a view to functionality and appearance.
Quispel developed approximately 1,500 electronic smart lockers made of a combination of materials such as steel, interior panels and leather, and ensured that these were perfectly integrated into the stylish interior of the Provincial House. The lockers are provided with a timeless look by our own interior design department. Thanks to the durable design and the high-quality materials, the lockers are designed for a long life.
Dynamic loosening system
All lockers are dynamically allocated and released via a locker management system. Each lock is controlled by a Cloud-based solution with which the lockers can be managed very easily and transparently. This provides real-time insight into which employee is using a locker at what time.
Total solution
The implemented solution meets the request of the provincial government on all fronts for a total solution regarding the storage of personal belongings of the staff.
With the Mylocker app, the user can closely monitor what happens to his/her locker. The system informs the user via the app about all kinds of things, such as alerts, the time remaining for locker use, packages delivered and to be collected, etc. A user can of course also simply claim an available locker or open a locker.
